چکیده
صفوی شیوع داشته است. به کارگیری اصطلاح «قزلباش» توسط مورخان پس از شاه اسماعیل برای دهه‌های نخستین عصر صفوی، باعث به کار نبردن مفاهیم و اصطلاحات در غیر زمان تاریخی آن‌ها، لازمۀ روایتگری تاریخی است. برخی از مورخان و محققان، آگاهانه یا ناآگاهانه، با به‌کارگیری برخی از اصطلاحات و القاب در بستر زمانی غیر واقع آن‌ها، به تحریف امر واقع در تاریخ می‌پردازند. این پدیده در بین مورخان و محققان تاریخ ایران عصر بدفهمی تاریخ اجتماعی و سیاسی آن زمان شده است. قزلباش، از جملۀ مفاهیم تنش زای عصر صفوی بود. این لفظ در نزد ایرانیان مقبولیتی نداشت و مورد استفاده نبود. با پدیدار شدن این لفظ، فضایی از خصومت در میان ایرانیان و همسایگان ایجادشد. ریشه‌های تاریخیاین فضای خصومت‌آمیز با محوریت پدیدۀ «قزلباش»، مسألۀ تحقیق حاضر بود. نویسنده با ابتناء کار بر روش تاریخی و استفاده از منابع عصر، پس از انجام تحقیق، به این نتیجه رسید که قزلباش لفظی است دشمن ساخته. از این رو، شاه اسماعیل و دولتمردان او از این لفظ استفاده نمی‌کردند. این اصطلاح برای نخستین بار در حبیب السّیر که تحریر آن پس از مرگ شاه اسماعیل به پایان رسید، به کار گرفته شد و پس از آن به تدریج وارد ادبیات عصر، اعم از متون تاریخی و مکاتبات دولتی گردید.

Kizilbash: A Pejorative Term at the Time of Shah Isma’il I

When writing history, one has essentially to avoid using concepts and terms anachronistically. Some historians and history scholars, intentionally or unintentionally, do this and put in use the newly generated terms and titles to refer to old times; hence, distorting historical facts. Historians of the Safavid period were accustomed to this phenomenon. Using the term “Kizilbash” for the events of first decades of the Safavid era by the historians of post-Isma’il I period, has led to misunderstanding of social and political history of that time. “Kizilbash,” was a contradictory term in that period. This term, being pejorative, had no legitimacy among Iranians. So, it was not accepted and put into use by them. The coinage and use of this term generated a sphere of hostility between Iranians and their neighbor states. This article, based on historical method of research and primary sources, aimed to investigate the “Kizilbash” phenomenon, as the core of this hostile sphere, to find out the causes and roots of the problem. Findings asserted that “Kizilbash” was a term derogatorily applied by safavids’ enemies. So, Shah Isma’il I and his statesmen did not use it. This term, for the first time, was appeared in Habib Al-siyar which began to be written at 927 AD and was finished after Shah Isma’il I’s death in 930 AD.
