Abstract

Iranian society has always tried to implement public speech and action against those in power. But behind their direct supervision, different words and actions have emerged . such a conservative approach sometimes has the aspect of deception, caution, fear and grace and sometimes it`s rooted in religious, cultural and social beliefs. Historically, Iran's society has always been under the control of authoritarian governments, in such a situation, the society performs a show of compliance and satisfaction, which is very consistent with the image that the rulers want to paint. But behind their supervision, it manifests its hidden transcript in the critique of domination. On the eve of the constitutional revolution, the authoritarian rule and the inability of the Qajar kings to create an efficient centralized government pushed Iranian society into its hidden face, and secret transcripts proliferated surprisingly. Using the theoretical model of Scott's hidden narratives, this research examines and studies the most important forms of manifestation of the hidden transcript of Iranian society on the eve of the constitutional revolution. The findings of the research show that the appearance of night letters from the heart of secret societies is the obvious point of finding the hidden transcript of this period. Gradually, these secret transcripts appear in other forms such as secret newspapers, overseas newspapers, imaginary travelogues, imaginary conversations, anonymous letters and dream books. With the continuation of the disorder in the country, these narratives took an obvious form and led to the constitutional revolution by challenging the political power.
