Settlement of nomads is one of the important social, political and economic developments in the contemporary history of Iran. Throughout the history of Iran, tribes and nomads have always influenced Iran's destiny as one of the weights of power. Fars province has also been one of the important settlements of tribes and nomads throughout history. During the first Pahlavi period, when the government decided to settle tribes and nomads, it tried to implement the aforementioned laws in the Ili community by appointing a person named Kadkhoda. In this regard, the current research tries to answer these two questions, what were the reasons for the selection and appointment of Kadkhoda in the matter of settlement? Also, what duties did Kodkhoda have in settling Ilat and Persian tribes? According to the findings of the research, due to the fact that no one except the members of the clans and clans had enough knowledge about them, choosing an individual from the members of the clans and tribes as Kadkhoda was the best way to move things forward. This position has become an intermediary between the government and the members of the province and has taken on the task of implementing the laws and regulations of the government in the province. Activities such as collecting clan members, organizing and ordering them, the obligation to leave black tents and build buildings and houses in the places intended for settlement, the obligation of settled families to do farming and agriculture. Introduction of military recruits, etc., was one of the cases that Kadkhoda was responsible for carrying out and following up among the clan.
The current research is based on historical method and descriptive and analytical approach, and the method of collecting information is library and based on documents.
